A high quality passive A/B guitar pedal should be a staple pedal in any working guitar/bass players rig. Even if an artist is currently not using an A/B pedal on their board, most working artists have one in their arsenal that is readily available should the need arise.

We build our passive A/B pedals utilizing only the finest Hammond styled chassis (measuring 4.37” x 2.37” x 1.07”), CHK ("CLIFF") switches, and Switchcraft enclosed jacks! And we top it off with a classy, durable, powder-coated finish to last you years of glorious performance and style.

To help you know whether you are on signal path ‘A’ or signal path ‘B’, we’ve included a pair of slim and sexy, high efficiency LED indicator bulbs to indicate your current operating status. And, as if that is not enough, we’ve given you the option to power those LED’s via a 9 Volt DC jack at the top of the pedal OR via a 9 volt battery, installable on the interior of the pedal. And, as if THAT is not enough, we’ve even included an On/Off toggle switch to turn those LED’s off when the pedal is not in use, allowing you to leave your guitar/patch cable plugged into the pedal without sacrificing precious battery life. We know that power resources on a pedal board are valuable, and we also know that many of you would rather dedicate those resources to guitar pedals that are dedicated to shaping tone, not re-routing it, which is why we wanted to give you the option of utilizing a 9 volt battery in place of power from the pedal power supply on your pedal board. And again, we use only some of the finest high efficiency LED’s and that means crazy long battery life for you, the player!

Electric/Acoustic rig: Plug your guitar (either acoustic or electric) into your tuner. Plug your tuner into the Fat-Top A/B pedal. Send signal path ‘A’ to the acoustic guitar direct box. Send signal path ‘B’ to your electric guitar rig. Yes, you’ll still need to unplug one guitar to switch to the other but; at least both will be in tune when you perform!

Guitar/Bass rig: Plug your guitar (or bass) into your tuner. Plug your tuner into the Fat-Top A/B pedal. Send signal path ‘A’ to your electric guitar rig. Send signal path ‘B’ to your bass rig or direct box.

A clean boost at heart, the Dirty Gerty can cleanly boost your signal as well as dirty up that tube amp by simply adding a little (or a lot of) Ooomph to the input of the amp.  The Dirty Gerty can also be used to fatten up the overdrive tone coming out of your favorite overdrive pedal by simply placing it before the overdrive effects pedal in your signal chain, in essence giving you two levels of overdrive...out of one overdrive pedal!

In addition to being a clean boost, the Dirty Gerty lends itself to the world of buffering by nicely restoring guitar tone lost due to lengthy cables and/or other pedals utilizing FET switching as opposed to True-Bypass switching.

Speaking of switching, Fat-Top USA is proud to offer REDUCED POPPING True Bypass Switching!!!  We've really worked hard to totally eliminate that GUNSHOT popping sound you hear in most pedals boasting True-Bypass Switching.  We're not claiming that there is NO popping when you engage our pedals but, rather, that it is greatly reduced...making the popping practically inaudible at normal playing volumes (50%)...and only sounding like a 'snap' at louder volumes!  Reduced Popping True-Bypass Switching.

Another great feature of the Dirty Gerty Fat Boost is the 3-way Fat Bottom switch.  With the restoration of lost guitar tone the Dirty Gerty is often praised for the clarity of highs (guitar tone) coming out of it.  "My tone has that sparkle," is a comment we often proudly hear.  Some, though, might prefer to hear a little more low end when using their Gerty, and that is exactly why we included the 3-way Fat Bottom switch.  Technically, this little aspect of the Gerty circuit does not actually increase the low end but, rather, it ever so slightly tapers the high end of your guitar tone giving the ear the impression of an increase in low end bass response.  To our ears, depending  on what overdrive pedals you're playing through, the 3-way Fat Bottom switch gives that slightly compressed lead tone when engaged.

If we had to choose one overdrive pedal to release to the world first, then the Fat Drive Classic (dubbed the ‘Fat Class’) would be it.

Unlike the current trend in building overdrive pedals to sound like vintage amps we just wanted to build an overdrive pedal that made us smile as well as made us want to play for hours on end, and the Fat Class does just that! Even two years after its inception we still giggle like little kids when we plug into this pedal and crank it up!

The Fat Class Overdrive Guitar Pedal is a low to mid-gain overdrive pedal that features a fair amount of headroom so that it can still be used as a boost pedal while retaining enough gain to really crank through those rockin’ choruses without letting your guitar tone get too muddy. This pedal oozes rock n roll. Because we wanted to create a pedal that would take us deep into that Classic Rock era we knew that this meant creating a pedal that didn’t have tons of low end. Keeping low end in check is crucial to getting that great classic guitar tone you’ve been hearing for decades now, and we believe we nailed that in the Fat Drive Classic!  However, because we are well aware that many of today’s modern players prefer more low end in their guitar tone we added the 3-way Vintage/Modern switch to meet the ever growing demands for tonal diversity.  And tonal diversity is exactly what the Fat Drive Classic boasts!  "For those about to rock, we salute you."

The Fat Tap, tap tempo pedal is for use with pedals such as the Boss DD-5, DD-7, etc. Direct replacement for the Boss FS-5U. Includes polarity switch.

Housed in a small Hammond 1590LB enclosure this pedal measures approx. 2x2 and sits at just over an inch in height, giving you more room on a crowded pedal board. The Fat Tap is powder-coated in a durable custom orange sparkle finish, which means, this pedal can take a beating and keep on sparkling! Hand-wired for the highest quality and care...heck, we even screen-printed it ourselves!

The Fat-Top Dual Tap Tempo guitar pedal is the big brother of our original  Fat-Top Fat Tap tempo pedal.  This tap tempo pedal cleans up your pedal board and helps you stop doing the “dance” so that you can get back to playing guitar by allowing you to utilize the tap tempo feature of two separate pedals, simultaneously, while tapping on only one tap tempo pedal. We’ve even included a dedicated Polarity Switch for the “Tap A” channel for those effects that require flipping of polarity, while leaving the “Tap B” channel stock so that you can sync (or not sync) your guitar effects pedals accordingly.

Housed in a durable Hammond styled enclosure, this slim little guy measures in at a modest 3.64 x 1.5 x 1.22 inches. In other words, space hog is a term that cannot be associated with this pedal! Of course, we’ve also included only the finest of switches and Switchcraft enclosed jacks to keep your rig up and running show after show. And, as with all of our other pedals we’ve dressed this one up in a fine looking durable powder coat that will offer years of protection and style!
